Extract Cinema, 2002
The images of this film are made with a Super 8 camera. The film is built from a text that gives a sharp description of another film made in the 60s in New York. The text describes almost shot by shot a film entitled A Legend for Fountains by Joseph Cornell. This extract is taken from the book Visionary Film, the American Avant-Garde by P. Adams Sitney. We made this film without ever having seen the original. We discovered it many years later. It can be seen on UbuWeb.
